Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing, modifying, testing, and evaluating materials providing technical advice about the suitability of materials diagnosing faults advising on, planning, and organizing inspections, maintenance, and repairs overseeing operational quality control processes liaising with suppliers, customers and manufacturing/development staff supervising engineering and technical staff undertaking relevant research supervising the work of materials engineering technicians and other staff considering the costs implications of materials used and alternatives, in terms of both time and money.
- Taking account of energy usage in manufacturing and in-service energy saving, e.g. in transport and construction applications. supervising quality control throughout the construction and production process helping to ensure that products comply with national and international legal and quality standards advising on inspection, maintenance and repair procedures, Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Conduct or supervise tests on raw materials or finished products in order to ensure their quality.
- Design and direct the testing and/or control of processing procedures.
- Determine appropriate methods for fabricating and joining materials.
- Evaluate technical specifications and economic factors relating to process or product design objectives
- Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration.
- Plan and implement laboratory operations for the purpose of developing material and fabrication procedures that meet cost, product specification, and performance standards.
- Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives, such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.
- I am responsible for all Implementations and testing in Lab & field as per Specification. And Equipments Hot mix & WMM plants also. And submission of weekly monthly quarterly quality lab test report assisting Documentation of Quality Control daily routine lab and field test and responsible for testing and reporting to Sr. Material Engineer and finalizing design mixes of concrete, DLC, PQC, testing of Barrow areas (Embankment, Sub grade, G.S.B) , Coarse and fine aggregate (For Concrete and Bitumen work), Bitumen source , Cement , RCC Hume pipe , calibration of lab and field for making of QAP & Methodology.
